Ammoniacum gummi or gum ammoniac is a gum-resin which is obtained from the stem of perennial herb dorema ammoniacum.

This medicine is effectively prescribed for the conditions as following:-

    Chronic bronchitis in old and feeble patients with difficult breathing. There is often large accumulation of purulent substance with feeble expectoration.

    Burning and scratching sensation in throat and esophagus.

    Sensation as if something stuck in esophagus immediately after eating which causes swallowing.
